Count–Up Clock Since The Last Toronto Maple Leafs Stanley Cup Victory.

Oh, the shame of it all, it’s been  since the Leafs last Stanley Cup victory on May 02, 1967.

All I can say is wow, im only 16 years old and probably not as wise as many other leaf fans involved here, but I always wondered about the whole MLSE issue and what it would be like if things changed, this is really neat. glad to be apart of it  Smile

Hey, if any of us were wise we likely wouldn't be Leaf fans  Tongue Tongue Tongue

... but ya, things need to change and the main one for me is the removal of the Teachers fund from under the owners umbrella.  Unfortunately the cash cow that is the Maple Leafs continues to make them money (much more now that there's a salary cap and the CDN$ is up on the USD$) so what incentive is there for them to sell their stake in MLSE.  People need to stop supporting the club and the owners need to see a lot of empty seats.  If the Leafs lose money then the bean-counters running the teachers fund may deem it as a sinking ship and sell to move on elsewhere.  Otherwise, what you see is what you get for better or worse!

Additionally though to hamper that movement is the fact that MLSE has far more holdings (investments) beyond just the Leafs/Raptors so it will take a really good hit to take them out hard enough to get the Teachers to sell their shares.
